最終の組立部門に生産計画を示し、部品が必要なときに必要なだけ欲しいと指示することによって、組立部門で使われる各種の部品を前工程へ引き取りに行くという後工程引き取りの運搬管理方法に逆転させれば、製造工程を前へ前へとさかのぼり材料購入部門まで同期化してつながりジャストインタイムの条件を満たすことになる。
ジャストインタイム方式は在庫を0に近づけることにも役に立つ。生産性が改善されて余剰な生産能力が得られたときでも、必要な分のみ生産されるからだ。

We show a production plan to workers in assembly line, instructing them to make necessary amount of necessary parts when necessary, and workers at the assembly line go to the front line and get parts.
By reversing the flow of parts, production process moves back to front, which reaches the very beginning process of material purchasing department and enables all the process to work at the same timing which meet the condition of Just-In -Time.
Just-In-Time method also helps to reduce the stock level close to 0. This is because only necessary amount of parts is produced even when productivity is improved and production capacity is expanded.
