私は同じ大学の二つ上の先輩を尊敬している。なぜなら、彼がいると周りの人たちに自然と笑顔が浮かぶからである。彼がいると自然と場が盛り上がる。人を楽しませることができることは非常に素晴らしい。人を楽しませる力は、将来世界で貧困問題や児童労働の解決に携わるときも必要不可欠だと考える。困っている人、暗い気持ちになっている人を少しでも元気づけたいと考えている。彼のように人を楽しませることができる人間になるために、おもしろい人の話し方やジェスチャーを真似して自分なりにアレンジしている。

At the university there is a former schoolmate of mine, two years ahead of me, whom I particularly admire. That is because his mere presence is enough to make people around him smile, and no matter where he goes the place becomes upbeat and lively. His ability to make people enjoy themselves is wonderful. I think that the power to make people enjoy themselves will be indispensable to me in the future when I am involved in solving world problems like poverty and child labor. I would like to be able to encourage -- even if just a little -- people who are in difficulty, who are in a gloomy mood. In order to become a person like him who is able to make people happy, I am imitating in my own personal way the speech patterns and gestures of people who are interesting.
