I personally think "transfer" would be more appropriate for this content as it's referring to "signal", right?

Hi,
If they are talking about physics or science, you are definitely correct. signals are transferred or transmitted. However, according to the context, they are talking about not physical signal transmission but "Contents distribution". So I took customers' point of view and chose the business oriented term "distribute". Hope you understand.
