日本コンベンション事業協会（CPA／分部日出男会長）と日本PCO協会（JAPCO／近浪弘武代表幹事）は6月5日、両団体を統合し、新団体設立に向けた協議を進めるために合意したことを発表した。1年後の統合を目指す。

6月3日に予備的合意書に調印しており、新組織は2015年6月をめどに調整を進めるという。JAPCOが一般社団法人化移行し、一般社団法人同士の統合となる見込みだ。
