日本コンベンション事業協会（CPA／分部日出男会長）と日本PCO協会（JAPCO／近浪弘武代表幹事）は6月5日、両団体を統合し、新団体設立に向けた協議を進めるために合意したことを発表した。1年後の統合を目指す。

6月3日に予備的合意書に調印しており、新組織は2015年6月をめどに調整を進めるという。JAPCOが一般社団法人化移行し、一般社団法人同士の統合となる見込みだ。

MICE産業を牽引してきた両団体の統合によって日本MICEの進むべき方向性が明確になる。

June 5,Nippon Convention Business Association (CPA / Chairman Wakebe Hideo ) and Japan PCO Association (JAPCO / Chairman Kinnami Hirotake ) announced that they have agreed to consolidate the two organizations to promote the consultations for establishing the new organization. They aim to integrate within a year.

They signed a preliminary agreement on June 3 and the new organization is planned to be established by June 2015. It is expected that JAPCO is going to transit to be a general incorporated association, so it will be the integration of two general incorporated associations.

The direction where Japan MICE should go will be clear by this integration of the two organizations that have driven the MICE industry.
