日本ＰＣＯ協会は１月22日、東京・新宿のリーガロイヤルホテル東京で「ＪＡＰＣＯ新年会２０１４」を開催。会員やMICE関係者など約80人が出席した。

　代表幹事を務める日本コンベンションサービス代表取締役社長の近浪弘武氏は開会の挨拶で、韓国ＭＩＣＥエキスポの出展など、協会の積極的な活動について紹介。
また閣議決定された「日本再興戦略」や「観光立国実現に向けたアクション・プログラム」、東京オリンピック・パラリンピックなどをＭＩＣＥ業界への追い風とするための協力体制づくりを呼びかけた。

Japan Association of PCO（ Professional Congress Organizers) held "JAPCO new year's meeting" on January 22 at Rihga Royal Hotel at Shinjuku in Tokyo. Members and MICE personnels attended the meeting.

At an opening ceremony, the representative of Japan Convention Service and CEO, Mr. Hirotake Chikanami introduced active activities of the association such as an exhibition at South Korea MICE exposition. Also, he called for establishment of cooperation system for "Japan Revitalization Strategy" which was approved in a Cabinet meeting, as well as "action program to realize tourism-oriented country" and Tokyo olympics and paralympics games so that they will receive an enormous boost.
