現代より遥か昔、侍も平民も太平の世を謳歌していた江戸時代中頃の横浜。天涯孤独の少女・フウは、「向日葵の匂いのする侍」の情報を求めて数多くのバイトをしていた。そんなある日、ふとしたことで知り合った二人の男・ムゲンとジンを用心棒として、彼女は「向日葵の匂いのする侍」を探す旅に出ることを決意する。
