開発者、A.J は、既存の爪切りに対し強い不満を持っていました。
既存の爪切りは利き手でない場合にとても使い辛く、レバーから指が滑ることがある為です。
手の小さな子供にも、既存の爪切りは決して使い易いとは言えません。
又、切った爪が飛び散ったり、安価な爪切りは切れ味が悪い事も問題でした。
切れ味については、日本製の素晴らしい爪切りが多数存在しますが、デザインは何十年もの間、殆ど進化が見られません。　爪切りは誰でも必ず使う製品でありながら、デザインは殆ど進化していないのが実情です。

A.J was unsatisfied with existing nail clipper.
If the nail clipper does not suite the dominant hand, it will get difficult to hold properly.
It is also difficult for children with small hand to use nail clipper.
What is more, current nail clipper has a problem of flicking nails and the cheap nail clipper cannot cut well.
There are many Japanese nail clippers that can cut well, but the product design of the nail clipper had never changed for decades.
Although the nail clipper is a daily use product, its product design had never evolved.
