We think that Apple will eventually want to add a Retina display to the iPad mini, but we don't know whether that will come with the October update of the device.

It's possible that both iPads will have the iPhone 5s's Touch ID fingerprint sensor technology, too. Additionally, Apple could decide to launch a gold iPad 5 and iPad mini 2 in keeping with the new colour of iPhone 5s.

Designer Martin Hajek has created a mock-up to show what the new iPads could look like should these rumours turn out to be true. For more, check out his website.
