「鳥獣人物戯画(Chōjū-jinbutsu-giga)」は12世紀後半の作とされる国宝で、漫画の原点といわれている。
動物による水遊び・弓・相撲といった遊戯や法要・喧嘩などの場面が風刺的に描かれる。
抑揚のある描線を駆使した快活でユーモアあふれる筆致。

うさぎや狐は分かるが、カエルを主人公に据えた作者のセンスにに共感を覚える。

The scenes of playgame such as the playing with water/ the bowing / the sumo by the animal, or the Buddhist memorial service / the fighting are drawn on satirically.
A stroke of the pen I am lively, and to be full of humor that made full use of a drawn line with the intonation.

I understand the rabbits and the foxes, and I feel sympathy to the sense of the author who has drawn the frogs as the central character.
