In Japan, people wrote signatures and messages on the white part of Japanese national flag, Hinomaru, for the family members who were shipped out to the World War II, to pray for their health. Soldiers carried these flags on the battlefield.

The item which is entered this time is one of the rare flags with illustrations. You can feel something different from other flags with only signatures.

It is pity that Japanese families does not try to keep such a valuable item. I hope someone who will treasure this item as one of his collections will bid for the item.
