Regarding the returning of the item, I gave it up from the start since I had to pay the full value of it (shipping included) to the Brazilian government in taxes as it is for all imports north of $50,00 US dollars (unrecoverable money). Still, keeping half of what I bought felt very bad business for me. And then realizing having just half of a set has no use for me.
Could you arrange with the company to send me only one mug to match the one I got, thus completing the set of 2 I had bought. It seems the optimal proper solution for this situation ("The shipping box or envelope isn’t damaged but the item is damaged").

商品の返品に関して、初めからあきらめました。理由は、ブラジル政府に税金として、配送料込みで全額払わなければいけないからです。輸入製品は,すべて５０米ドルより高くなってしまい、元が取れません。それにも関わらず、購入商品の半額負担しかしてもらえないのには、、とても困っています。また、２つで１セットの商品なのに１つしかなく、これでは意味がありません。会社に頼んで、本来セットになるはずの、もう１つのマグカップを送ってもらえませんでしょうか？そうすれば、揃います。この場合において、最善かつ適切な対応になると思います（配送時の外箱も包装紙も無傷でしたが、商品に傷あり）。
