医療機器の流通構造に関する現状と課題

1. はじめに

本稿の目的は､小規模の企業が多く、再編が進行しない医療機器流通業を対象として、再編が進行した医薬品流通業との比較を通じてその構造を明らかにすることにある。具体的には、医療機関向けの商品が多い医薬品流通業と医療機器流通業とを市場規模や取引慣行、主な事業者、商品の特性等の比較・検討を行うことにより、なぜ医療機器流通の再編が進行しないのかを検証することに主眼がある。

Current trends and issues of the distribution structure of medical devices
―With a central focus on a comparison examination with the drug distribution―

1. Introduction

Here, I target at the distributors of medical divices ─ most of which are small companies and as a result the reorganization has not been undertaken─and propose to reveal its structure by comparison with the structure of the drug distribution. In concrete terms, I focus on the verification of the reason why the reorganization of distribution structure of medical devices are not developped by comparison examination between the distributor of medical devices and that of the drug in the regards of their market size, trade practice, major business operators and product features.
