人間が身を飾る道具である装身具を表現する言葉ってたくさんありますよね。
アクセサリー、ジュエリー、ファイン・ジュエリー、コスチュームジュエリー、ファッション・ジュエリー、ビジュー、イミテーションジュエリー等々。

この中で、ジュエリーという言葉は使用する素材に制限のあるもの、留め具やチェーンに金、銀、プラチナ類の貴金属を使用し、天然などの宝石素材を使用したものと定義されます。ファイン・ジュエリーとはさらに使用素材にダイヤモンドなどの宝石に限定されたものを呼ぶようです。

Among of all, the word "Jewelry" is defined only for the ones made of limited materials; clasps and chains are made of precious metals such as gold, silver and platinum, and applied stones are natural gems. "Fine Jewelry" is even more limited for those apply gems such as diamonds.
