この中で、ジュエリーという言葉は使用する素材に制限のあるもの、留め具やチェーンに金、銀、プラチナ類の貴金属を使用し、天然などの宝石素材を使用したものと定義されます。ファイン・ジュエリーとはさらに使用素材にダイヤモンドなどの宝石に限定されたものを呼ぶようです。
