備考: カナダのお客様から、荷物が税関を通らないという問い合わせがありました。
それにたいする返信です。

この時は現地から問い合わせてもらったところ
状況を説明され、翌日には荷物が動き始めたそうです。

その他に「送り主に送り返すところです」と言われた事例もありました。
郵便局が配達をしたが誰も居なかったと税関に戻され、
問い合わせもないため送り返すところだと。
しかし受取人は、その時期ずっと家にいたそうです。

いずれもカナダの事例ではありませんが
同じように問い合わせをすることで状況が変わるかもしれません。

日本郵便を通じて進捗状況の調査ができないか問い合わせてみますね。

I heard that for this case, the receipient inquired at the customs and then they explained the status, next day the parcel started being processed.

In other case they were told that "the parcel is to be returned to the sender".
Post office delivered but there was nobody so it was returned to the customs,
because there was no inquiry about it, it was going to be returned.
However, the recipient was at home all the time during that period.

These are not cases in Canada,
but the situation might change if you ask them, too.

As soon as the morning comes,
I will ask the Japan post to check the progress from my side.
