店長の話に戻るが、私は彼ほど偏見のひどい人間を見たことがない。しかし、私はそんなアルバイトを4年間働き続けることができた。実際私は店長にはいつも優しくされていた。このお店はお客さんがあまりお店に入ってこないので、お店が暇な時間がすごく多い。だからその間は店長としゃべったり、携帯やパソコンを触っている。私は店長の性格にいらいらすることも多かったが、だがそれ以上に自由だった。そこはF1専門のお店で、F1に詳しい人間しか働くことができないから、店長にとって私は必要な存在だった。

Though I was often irritated with the shop manager's personality, I was free to do what I wanted beyond that. Because it was an F1 specialty shop, only people who were knowledgeable about F1 could work there, so I was a very important existence for the shop manager.
