Oedo is derived from Edo, the old name for Tokyo and the period between circa 1600 to 1800 in the history of Japan, which is said to be the most flourished and populated city in the world at that time.The restaurants' head chef, Mr.Fujiya is seemingly the most experienced Japanese chef in Auckland as he used to work at such places like Kura. He is a very professional chef who has always been spotting trend in Japanese food and the locals' tastes.
