例えば人間よりはるかに優れた宇宙人がいたとして、「我々の命は人間の命より重い」と言われたとしても、決して人間はそれを認めないであろう。
要は、命の重さなんてポジショントークというわけだ。
知的生命体とただの動物を一緒にするのか？動物と植物を一緒にするのか？という論点はあると思うが、そんなのは「超」客観的に見れば、人間主観や個人の価値観による区別に過ぎない。
みんな生きているのだから。

以上の前提から考える。
動物であろうが植物であろうが、我々人間は食べるものの命を頂くことで生きている。

Let's say that there existed alien life forms far superior to humans. Even if they were to say that "Our lives worth more than those of humans," it's certain that humans would not accept that.
Point being, the worth of life depends on mere perspective.
So should we treat intelligent life forms the same as animals? Animals the same as plants? If you look at it "super"-objectively, it's merely differentiation caused by personal views and values.
They are all living.

Consider the above premise.
Be it animals or plants, we humans live by taking the life of what we eat.
