現在欧米諸国ではドナー細胞の不足から重度の１型糖尿病患者のみでの臨床がなされておりますが、その臨床成果として80％以上のレシピエントで移植後１年以内にインスリン離脱した，と良好な成績が報告された。しかし長期成績をみてみると，移植後の経過とともにグラフト機能が徐々に低下し，移植後５年インスリン離脱を維持できるのは20％に満たないことが明らかになってきている現状の中で、中国では2型の糖尿病患者にこの治療を試したところ、5年後のインスリン離脱は90%を超える結果を出しました。

Serious one type diabetic was performed from the lack of the donor cell in America and European countries now but an excellent result was reported that insulin seceded within one year after it had transplanted it by the recipient of 80% or more. However, when we looking at long term, the graft dunction is gradually decreasing as time passes after transplant and it have been clarified that the sustainable time of insulin seceded is less than 20%. In such status, this treatment was tested to two type diabetic patients and the result insulin seceded rate of five years later is 90% in China.
