日本独特の課題として浴槽溺れがあります。災害時に水を確保するため浴槽に水をためることが推奨されていますが、乳幼児のいる家庭では浴室のドアに鍵をかける対策が必要です。また、「釜石の奇跡」と言われる防災教育からは、子ども自身が身を守る教育の必要性を痛感しました。５才以上の子どもには、自ら身を守る対策の指導が重要であると考えています。
最後に、SAFE KIDS JAPANの復活を願い、Safey Kids いずみも、その復活と実践に関わりたいと希望しています。

There is drowning in bathtub as a subject peculiar to Japan. In order to secure water at the time of a disaster, filling water in a bathtub is recommended, but the measure which locks the door of a bathroom is required at the home in which infants are present. Moreover, from the disaster prevention education called "miracle of Kamaishi", it is keenly realized the necessity for education for protecting the childlen by themselves. We think that instruction of the measure which protects themselves is important for five or older-year children. Finally, hoping for revival of SAFE KIDS JAPAN, Safey Kids Izumi hope we would like to be concerned with the revival and practice.
