It was much smaller in person than I envisioned. The certificate of authenticity and simplicity in packaging helped to change my thinking and admired what a nice bowl it was.
The ultimate test was would Max like it? The package arrived in time for dinner. I filled the bowl and set it down in front of him. He was wary for a moment, thinking “this isn’t my regular stainless steel dish”. That seemed to be a fleeting thought, because he had no hesitation eating his dinner. He did, for the first few times, eat with one of his front paws slightly raised off the floor, reminding me of how some people lift a pinky finger when drinking from a delicate cup.
As far as durability, the bowl has a solid heft.

それは私が想像していたよりもずっと小さなものでした。本物であるという証明書と簡便なパッケージングから、如何にそれが優れたボウルであるかということを知るうえでそれまでの私の考えを変えました。
しかし、一番大切なのは、そうマックスが気に入ってくれるかでした。このセットは丁度夕食のタイミングで到着しました。食事の準備を整え彼の前に置いてみました。「あれ、これいつも僕が食べる時にでてくるステンレスのお皿じゃない」とちょっと警戒したようでした。でも、これもほんのつかの間、早速食夕食を食べ始めたのです。彼は最初の数回だけ前脚の片方を少し上げて食べていましたが、それはまるで丁度人間がちょっとお高いグラスで飲み物を飲むとき小指を立てて飲むしぐさをする時がありますが、なんだかそんな風にも見えたのでした。
耐久性についてですが、そのボウルはずっしりとした重さを感じました。
