ALLENからPUDONG とPUXIの歴史や上海の税関や森ビルなど建物の構造の裏話などを聞きました。私はALLENに「どうしてそんなに詳しいのか」と聞いてみたところ、彼は「上海の歴史が好きだから」と答えてくれました。そこで私は自分の国の文化、歴史を知ることの大切さを学びました。いつか彼らが日本に来たときに日本を紹介し、喜んでもらえるように自分の国のことを知ることも国際感覚を持つことの一つだと思いました。

When someday they come to japan, I will fully introduce Japan to them so that they will be satisfied. To do so I must learn Japan. I realized this would be the one way of acquiring international sensibility.
