Generative women were generally satisfied as wives and mothers and experienced the transition from their 50s to their 60s in positive ways. Correlations between generativity and criterion variables were moderate, but this seems to reflect a mature realism on the part of the generative women. In the open-ended responses they avoided global expressions of happiness and instead expressed contentment in more specific ways. The authoritarian women, by contrast, seemed to experience much less positive affect(e.g., less confident power), especially as mothers.
次世代育成能力の高い女性は害して妻、母であることに満足しており、50代、60代に良い方向への変化を経験した。次世代育成能力と基準変数の相関性はあまり大きくなかったが、このことは次世代育成能力の高い女性の一部の熟成した現実主義を羽胃しているように思われる。自由回答方式の質問に答えて、女性達は幸福に関する普遍的な表現を避け、その代わり、より具体的に満足を表現した。逆に、権威主義的な女性は、特に母親として、積極的な愛情（例、自信をあまり示さない）をあまり多く体験していないようだった。
