This book is a story arranged in the Japanese-style by Mantei Oga as a record of the Shaka's life based on the "Shaka Nyorai Tanjoe [Ceremony for the Birth of the Buddha] (by Chikamatsu Monzaemon)" and the kanazoshi "Shaka Hasso Monogatari [The Eight Principal Events in the Lifetime of Buddha]".
