Sở Thông Tin và Truyền Thông TpHCM (Sở TTTT TP.HCM) là đơn vị chịu trách nhiệm trong việc định hướng phát triển, triển khai CNTT cho toàn thành phố hướng tới mục tiêu xây dựng chính phủ điện tử trong tương lai. Bước đầu, Sở TTTT TP.HCM đã tiến hành dự án xây dựng hệ thống định danh cho các sở/ban/ngành và hệ thống thư điện tử dùng chung trên nền tảng công nghệ Microsoft.
