アンテナの先端をもやい結びでテグスを括り付け、さらに、反対側のテグスをリールに沿って巻き付け、先端をもやい結びでリールに固定する。リールを回転させ、テグスを引っ張り緩みがないことに加えて、ニクロム線溶断装置に確実に接していることを確認した上で、ボルト2本でリールを固定する。これを2系統設置することで冗長性をもたせている。衛星放出30秒後に溶断装置によってテグスを焼き切ることでアンテナが展開する。なお、溶断装置の起動回路は「3 inhibit 回路」で構成している。
I tied the antenna tip with a bowline knot and strung it with nylon. Then I wound the nylon at the other side following the reel, affixing the antenna tip to the reel with a bowline knot. I made the reel turn and in addition to the nylon not having slack, after making sure it was reliably in contact with the nichrome wire cutting device, i affixed the reel using 2 bolts. Setting a 2-line system preserves the redundancy. 30 seconds after the release of the satellite, the nylon is cut by the device, to unfold the antenna. The start-up circuit of the cutting device is set up with a '3 inhibit circuit'.
