Trash regulations in the ward that I live in, are very different than the ones that I used to. Very confusing and it caused some problems with the apartment management company, who were not happy that the "rules" were not being followed--but the rules were not available in English
時々自転車を駅の近くの駐輪禁止のサインのない場所の止めますが、その日に帰ったときに自分の自転車が別の場所に動かされていたことがあります。そのときはたくさんスペースが開いていて、ほかの人もたくさん自転車を置いていたのに。

いくつかの標識がイギリスと違うので判らない。
初めて携帯電話を設定しようとしたとき、英語の説明がなかったので難しかった。追加のサービスも設定されたけれど何年も使わずに割り増し料金を支払っていた。

大きな乗換え駅で標識が少なく、よく迷った。

It's been too long to think of everything, but, for example, recently a friend ended up in a major hospital here. Another friend wanted to visit, and I thought I knew the visiting hours, but I wanted to confirm it. I couldn't find the information on the hospital website in Japanese (maybe I'm unfamiliar with a lot of terms used by a hospital website), but when I switched to the English website, it was so limited --

全部のことを考えるには時間が経ちすぎましたが、ある例として、最近友達がここでは有名な病院に入ることになりました。別の友人が病院の友達を訪ねることとなり、病院の面会時間はわかってたと思いましたが、私は確認しようとしました。病院のネットのサイトでは日本語で書かれた案内は見つかりませんでした。（もしかしたら病院のウエッブ上で使われている言葉がよくわからなかったのかもしれません。）でも、英語のウエッブサイトに切り替えると制限が。。。

I needed an ambulance because my friend had an heart attack on the street. I called the hospital and could tell the address, but the person on the phone didn't understand the word "ambulance", so it took him time and my friend arrived too late at the hospital.
Katakana sign is very difficult to understand .
日本語サイトの必要最小限の部分が英語に訳されたものに過ぎないことが多いです。 -- 私の知りたい情報はオンラインで公開されているようには見えません。こういったことは頻繁に発生していて、「英語版サイト」はウエブサイトすべてが翻訳されて揃っているわけではなく、役に立たないことが多いです。
英語メニューに選択肢が殆ど無いため、日本人の友人にランチやディナーをおごって、いろいろ質問しています。
私の友人が路上で心臓発作に見舞われたときに、救急車を呼ぶ必要がありました。私は病院に電話し、その路上の住所を伝えることができましたが、電話に出た方は、「ambulance(救急車)」の単語がわからず、救急車の手配に時間がかかってしまい、私の友人が病院に運ばれたときはすでに手遅れの状態でした。

In some restaurants labeled toilet is difficult to read Japanese. It is difficult to read kanji.
JR ticket information can be very confusing for Shinkansen etc where two tickets need to be purchased (the seat ticket and riding ticket). I thought one ticket was fine because the English wasn't clear and got surprised by the extra charge.

JR切符売り場はチケット２枚（座席券と乗車券）を購入するのに新幹線などの情報が大変混乱していることがあります。チケット一枚で事足りると思っていたら英語が不明瞭だったために追加料金を支払わされる羽目になりました。
