内部は建物の狭さを感じさせない様に縦方向へのボリュームを取り、そこへ一部中2階を挿入している。
また狭小地でありながら入口まわりに余白のスペースを設け、門を【くぐる】という動作を伴なう事により建物に感覚的な奥行を生じさせ、更には空間としての豊かさを演出している。
