3人の医師が付けた評価点のそれぞれの平均は、A医師が3.5点、B医師が4.5点、C医師が4点であり、評価者間の差は1点以内であった。
退院後、フォローアップできていない2人を除いた患者のフォローアップ期間は7～30カ月（平均17カ月）であった。症状が消失した患者は69人（88.5％）で、重篤な合併症が出現した患者はいなかった。軽度の聴力障害が残存した１人を除き、永続的な神経症状が残った患者はいなかった。
