総会では前年の2012/13年度の事業内容について、前年度から200％以上伸びのべ316人が参加したセミナーやMICEコネクション、オフサイトミーティング、海外チャプター総会への出席など活発な活動が報告された。
山本会長は、1)MPIのブランド・イメージづくり、２）日本独自のコミュニティ、３）行政への働きかけ の３点を新年度のMPIジャパンの重点活動項目としたいと所信を述べた。
