Monthly active users of WeChat reached 235.8 million, up 177% YoY and 21% QoQ, in Q2 2013, according to the financial release. Overseas users reached 100 million. It’s only one month since the announcement of 70 million milestone.

Even though stickers may be a significant part of messaging apps, Line and KakaoTalk, the two most prominent apps that ushered in the age of stickers for messaging applications, do not earn most of their money from there.

Companies behind both apps revealed recently that in-game purchases make up the largest portion of their revenues. Recently we saw more Chinese joined Bitcoin market, selling mining tools, establishing exchanges, or creating new services.

Bitcoin Mining

ASICMINER and Avalon are developing chips for Bitcoin miners. ASICMINER is owned by Bitfountain company who sell shares and share Bitcoins mined with all the shareholders. As it needs miners itself, it’s very hard for outsiders to purchase miners or chips by ASICMINER.

Avalon only develops and sell chips. The company claims they’d ship chips nine to ten weeks after receiving orders. But consumers have to pre-order and can hardly know when exactly they’ll receive their chips.

iPad 5, Possible Retina iPad Mini Rear Shells Leak

Can’t wait to see what Apple has in store for us with the iPad 5? Here’s what it will likely look like… face down!

We begin Monday morning once again with yet another Far East parts leak, this time of the purported back casing of Apple’s fifth-generation iPad.

We’ve seen this part before. Way back in January, the first iPad 5 rear shell popped up, and we’ve seen new leaks every month or two since then. Unless this is a scam of epic proportions, Apple has been serious about this design for at least the last eight months.

With the iPad 5, evidence is mounting that Cupertino intends to follow the lead set by the iPad mini, and slim down the 9.7-inch tablet.

この部品はすでに既出のものでした。１月ごろからすでに、アイパッド５の背面版が初めて出てきており、その後１、２ヶ月ごとに新しい情報を得ていました。
これが壮大な規模の詐欺でない限り、アップルは過去８ヶ月間このデザインを真剣に考えてきていることになります。
アイパッド５について証拠が指し示しているのは、クパティーノはアイパッドミニによって優勢な状況をつく労としているという点、また9.7インチタブレットをスリム化仕様としているようだという点です。

Not only is it rumored to be a lighter device — possibly because of the use of low-power Sharp IGZO displays, which would require smaller batteries — but Apple is ditching the equally-sized side bezels on the iPad 5 to make it narrower, just like the iPad mini. That means when holding the iPad in portrait mode,your thumbs would partly obscure the display.

Speaking of the mini, the photos also show a shell for one,but it’s not clear if this is the iPad mini 2,and if so,if it will boast a Retina display. Fingers crossed.

Either way, don’t expect to see either of these tablets at Apple’s September 10th event next month: if history is any guide, Apple will hold a separate event for the new iPads sometime in October.

The phone's rear-facing camera will also be tweaked. While the sensor unit will remain untouched, the iPhone 5S shooter will use a larger f2.0 aperture lens assembly with dual LED flashes.

As for the widely rumored fingerprint sensor, Kuo reiterated the view he expressed in a separate note last week, saying the package will likely be embedded in a sapphire glass home button.

For storage, Kuo expects Apple to add on a new option for a capacious 128GB of on-board flash memory, the same change the company made to the fourth generation iPad in Feb.

Finally, a new option for a gold casing is expected to be offered alongside the traditional black and, with the iPhone 5, silver colors. Gold parts purportedly bound for the 5S were leaked in June, though an accompanying chassis sporting the new color has yet to surface.

Contrary to some predictions, Kuo doesn't see Apple implementing near-field communication (NFC) in the iPhone 5S.

Apple is rumored to be prepping for a Sept. 10 iPhone announcement, at which the company is expected to launch the iPhone 5S and possibly a less expensive handset dubbed the "iPhone 5C."
