麗華さんにインタビュー

週刊少年サンデーに現在連載中、2012年10月7日からはTVアニメ化したマギ。
アラジンやアリババなど、アラビアンナイト（千夜一夜物語）の登場人物をモデルに、お伽話の枠を越え綿密な世界観で描かれる大人気少年漫画です。
今回は、そんな人気漫画「マギ」に登場する、エキゾチックな魅力たっぷりのシャルルカンのコスプレをしている、麗華さんにインタビューをさせていただきました。

An interview with Mr. Reika.

Magi, currently being serialized in Syukan Syonen Sunday and has become a TV anime from October 7, 2012.

It is a very popular Shonen (Boy) cartoon drawn as well-thought-out interpretation of the world beyond the frame of fairy tale and the character of Aladdin, Ali Baba and Arabian Nights ( Arabian Nights' Entertainments) was used as a model.

This time, I was allowed to interview the character appearing in the famous manga(animation) Magi and an exotic with full of charm who played the cosplay of Sharurukan, Mr, Reika.

今年に入ってからも、私は16人のキャラクターのコスプレをしています。
同じキャラクターでも複数の衣装を着ていたりするので、写真を見ているともっと多く感じるかもしれませんね。

－すごいキャラクター数ですよね！私も写真を事前に拝見していたのですが、
あまりにも多様なキャラクターを演じてらしたこともあり、今回インタビューは、
どのキャラクターを選ぶか？のご相談からお願いしました。

物語の世界から飛び出してきたようなシャルルカンのコスプレが、とても素敵な麗華さん。

Earlier from this year, I've done cosplay of 16 characters.
You may feel it more when you look at the picture because I'm wearing more than one costume even the character is the same.

It's unbelievable number of character! It was an honor to see the picture in advance,
There are too many characters being played and at the interview this time, I asked a favor from consulting of "Which character do you choose?"

A pretty nice Reika, the cosplay of Sharurukan that was like having gone out from the world of story.

シャルルカン初登場の時から、『この金髪の子が気になる。』と思っていました。
容姿が好みなこともあったのですが、物語が進んでいくうちに性格にも惹かれて。
『大好きだ！』と思うようになっていました。
剣士だけど、女好きでちょっと軽い。でもすごく強い。
そんなキャラクターに弱いんです（笑）。

－シャルルカンは、麗華さんの好みの人だったんですね！

はい！
容姿も性格も大好き！と思って、気づくとシャルルカンの衣装を作り始めていました。

●素材は、安くても扱いやすいもの使って丁寧に仕上げることが大切

From the time of first appearance of Sharuruhan, I thought that "I like this character wih a golden hair".
I also like the personal appearance but as the story goes by, I was drawn to the personality.
Then I think "I love it"!
He is a swordsman but a womanizer and a little bit loose. But very strong.
I am weak with the character like that. (LOL)

So Mr. Reika, Sharurukan is the person that you like!

YES!
I love the personal appearance and personality very much! and then I noticed that I started to make a costume of Sharurukan.

●It is important that it will be made with great care using cheap but manageable material.

－すごく細かい作りの衣装に見えますが、制作期間はどのくらいですか？

最初は撮影のスケジュールに合わせて衣装を作ったこともあり、
70％位の完成度で着る事になってしまいました。制作日数は一日でした。
その後、色々手直しをしたので、全部で二日間くらいになります。

－一番工夫したポイントはどこでしょうか？

上着の形です。漫画独特のふわっとしているけど形はしっかりしている。と言う感じを出すのが大変でした。
柔らかな雰囲気だけを再現しようとすると、思い通りにならないので襟に針金を仕込んでいます。

It seems that you made the costume very detailed, how long did you make it?

First, there was a time that it was only 70% done and I need to wear it because I made a costume according to the shooting schedule. Making period is 1 day.
After that, I made a lot of rework so it took around 2 days in making.

Where is the most creative point you made?
The form of outer wear. It is very difficult to express the fluffy type characteristic of cartoons in actual.
You can't show what you want if you will just try to reproduce the soft atmosphere, so I put wire on the collar.

－細かい工夫が全体のクオリティを上げているんだと実感しました。
エスニックで神秘的な肌が印象的なシャルルカンですが、メイクで工夫した点はありますか？

シャルルカンにかぎらず黒塗りすべてに言える事なのですが、そのままの肌に黒いファンデーションを塗っていくと、どうしても汚くなってしまいます。
まずは出来るだけ顔を真っ白にする所から始めるので、それが大変です(笑)

－最初から黒くしていくわけではないんですね！

I feel that the detailed ideas uplift the whole quality.
Sharurukan has an ethnic and mysterious skin image, is there a point that you have devised during putting of make up?
Not only with Sharurukan, I can say in all black painting that if you will put black foundation on the natural skin, it will surely get dirty.
First, I need to start to make the face all white as much as possible, and that was very difficult (LOL).

-So you are not going to make it black from the start!

そうですね。まずはキャンバスになる顔を出来るだけ綺麗にして、それから黒いファンデーションを塗っていくと仕上がりが違います。素の顔にいきなり塗るとクマなどがより濃く出てしまうので要注意です。

－これもテクニックですね！
衣装を脱いだ麗華さんのお写真をフェイスブックのファンページで拝見して、男性キャラクターのコスプレをされている様子とのギャップに驚いてしまいました。

男性キャラをコスプレする際に、気をつけていることはありますか？

Yes. First, you have to make clean the face that becomes a canvas as much as possible and then paint it with black foundation and the result will be different. If you will suddenly paint in a natural face, eye bugs will be more darker so you must take note of it.

- This is also a technic!
I was so surprised with the gap of look of cosplay of male character when I saw the picture of Reika without the costume in the Facebook fan page.

In doing the cosplay of male character, what are the things you put an attention?
