Valentin (valentinblaison)

Young professional based in Brussels. I can translate from English and German into French. I studied translation and Interpetation in the capital of Europe for five years. I was an exchange student in Germany and Japan and also graduated in European project management in France.

My past translation experience includes several chapters from the book Anständig Essen (Karen Duve) as part of my thesis paper, emails, conference handouts, specialized texts and news. My areas of interests are food and agriculture, sustainable development, computer science, news and germanic languages.

I am familiar with translation tools such as Trados, Multiterm or Microsoft office. I also use a wide range of online resources.

In the future I wish to add Dutch and Japanese to my working languages.

I am currently working as an intern in a European Think Tank (Pour la Solidarité) and will graduate in September 2016.

Ich bin gerade ein junger Profi in Brüssel. Übersetzen kann ich aus dem Englischen und Deutschen ins Französische. Ich habe Dolmetschen und Übersetzen in Brüssel studiert und habe Umtausch in Deutschland (Berlin und Leipzig) und Japan gemacht. Ich absolviere bald mein französisches Masterstudium über European Project Management.

Was Übersetzung betrifft habe ich Erfahrung mit Buchübersetzung (ein Paar Kapitel von Karen Duves Anständig Essen als Teil meiner Masterarbeit), Emails, Konferenzhandouts, Fachtexten und Aktualität. Ich interessiere mich für Nahrung und Landwirtschaft, nachhaltige Entwicklung, Informatik, Aktualität und Germanistik.

Ich benutze sowohl Trados, Multiterm und Microsoft Office als auch mehrere Online-Tools.

Ich arbeite gerade bei einem Europäischen Think Tank (Pour la Solidarité) und absolviere in September 2016.
