In addition to writing original news articles based on Japanese sources for a popular online news site, I have been translating full-time for almost five years in Osaka, until I went freelance last month and returned to my native UK. I have formed a translation company and am currently looking to expand my customer base. I hold N1 for the JLPT and have more than four years' experience translating. My university education is a masters in history from the University of St. Andrews, and I'm particularly interested in describing aspects of Japanese culture in an interesting and easy-to-understand manner. I also have experience translating for major companies in a range of industries, from food manufacturers to producers of agricultural machinery and tourism agencies.
