①　このたび群馬県立近代美術館では「群馬青年ビエンナーレ2008」を開催いたします。「群馬青年ビエンナーレ」は、16歳から29歳までの若い世代を対象とした全国公募の展覧会です。開館以来の長い歴史をもつ「群馬青年美術展」を引き継ぎ、1991 年以来隔年で開催されています。審査は、応募者数の増加に対応して、二段階でおこなわれています。作品の写真やプラン、制作意図、応募者の活動歴などの書類による一次審査、そして作品による二次審査を経て、入賞および入選作品が決定されます。

1. The Museum of Modern Art, Gunma will held "The 9th Gunma Biennale for Young Artitst". "The Gunma Biennale" is an exhibition with a national public call for entry from the young generation, targeting people between 16 and 29 years old. Taking over the "Gunma Exhibition for Young Artists" with a long history ever since the museum was opened, this exhibition has been held every 2 years since 1991. The selection process was made in two steps, in response to the increase in the number of applicants. The first selection was based on pictures and plans of the artwork, the documents describing the intention of the artwork and the activities background of the applicant, then the second selection was based on the artwork itself, before making a decision artworks to be selected and to win a prize.

②　第9回となる今回は、改修工事による休館の影響で開催を一年延期したため、特例措置として対象年齢の上限を一年引き上げました。2005年以来3年，ぶりの開催となりましたが、過去最多となる884人から1,282点の応募があり、一次審査では156人170点が通過しました。二次審査でさらに厳選された結果47人49点が入選を果たし、その中から大賞1 点、優秀賞2点、奨励賞5点が選ばれています。これらの作品はどれも意欲にあふれ、若きアーティストたちの今後の飛躍を期待させるものばかりです。

2. The maximum age limit has been extended for 1 year as a special measure for this 9th time, as a special measure for having postponed this exhibition due to the closing of the museum during its renovation. This is the first time it is held in 3 years since 2005, but there have been 1,282 entries from 884 people, the highest number so far, and 170 pieces from 156 people passed the first selection process. <世界が注目する、国際版画展>
3年に1度開催される「高知国際版画トリエンナーレ展」は、1990年土佐和紙の国際化と、高知県の文化向上を目的に始まり、今回で第6回を数えることとなりました。

4. In the interim, the International Exhibition of Artwork from the general public that has been held in major cities in Japan, has been restructured and has now become a prominent International Exhibition of Prints from the general public, not only in Japan, but also in the World.
This time, 1,515 people from 73 countries all over the world, made their entries, the greatest number ever, that went through a very careful selection process, to come up with the 203 selected / winning artworks that will be exhibited. They all represent inner voices, reflections of times, artworks through which you will deeply feel all the passion of the artists. ご指摘いただいた通り、出荷が遅れてしまった事に対する改善策を提示させていただきます。
まず、出荷が遅れてしまった事の原因として２つの理由が挙げられます。

１.配送担当者の不足
２.出荷通知の押し忘れ

これらの対応策として以下の事を実施しました。

１.配送担当を新たに雇用し、連携をする事で注文が多く入っても配送期限までに必ず出荷が間に合うようになりました。
また、配送業者と提携し、出荷準備ができてから出荷するまでのスピードが格段に早くなりました。

Here are the measures we are submitting regarding the delay in shipments as you pointed out.

1. Insufficient number of staff in charge of deliveries
2. Omission in the notification of shipment
