Hello! I am a freelance Japanese to English translator with experience working as a professional translator in Tokyo. I am a native speaker of British English and have achieved a high level of Japanese after 10 years of speaking the language. My qualifications include JLPT N2 (2014) and the JET Programme Translation and Interpretation Course (2019). I studied Japanese as part of my undergraduate degree at University College London and have a master's degree in environmental governance.

I have excellent writing skills and attention to detail, which allow me to produce fast and high-quality translations. I am capable of working on a variety of subject areas, with extensive experience of translating press releases relating to tourism, business, culture, politics, health and the environment. My other professional experience is in law, finance and journalism, and I bring the skills and knowledge I gained from those fields to my translating.
