Even the selection of the time and place seem forced. Set in Boston circa 1978, of course Maggie's decision to momentarily leave behind her family is frowned upon. Maggie suggests early on in the film that the number of female breadwinners in that era is next to zero, especially those of color. (Whether that is true or not is a separate matter.)
What amounted to be the most entertaining element of my "Infinitely Polar Bear" screening was not the film itself, but a gentleman who sat directly behind me.

رغم ان إختيار الوقت و المكان بدى لو انه تم قسرا. التعيين فى بوسطن حوالى 1978, بالطبع كان قرار ماجى بترك عائلتها مؤقتا كان قرار يدعو للعبوس. و اشارت ماجى فى وقت مبكر من الفيلم ان عدد الإناث العائلون فى هذه الحقبة يقترب من الصفر, خاصة الملونون منهن. (سواء كان ذلك حقيقى ام لا هى مسألة منفصلة.) ما يكاد يكون العنصر الأكثر تسلية فى عملى "الدب القطبى بلا حدود" ليس هو الفيلم فى حد ذاته ,بل هو الرجل النبيل الذى كان يجلس خلفى مباشرة.

Through the last thirty minutes of the movie the middle-aged man loudly snored as if he was lounging on his living room couch. Audience members around him were either unfazed by the booming sound or simply laughed it off. Anyway, as critic and scholar James Rocchi can attest, I did the latter to the point of tears. Whoever you are, God bless you good sir. You managed to single handedly punctuate a borderline dreadful film with your obnoxious snoring.

فى خلال ثلاثون دقيقة من الفيلم بدء رجل فى منتصف العمر بالشخير عاليا اثناء نومه كما لو كان يتسكع فى غرفة معيشته.

كان الجمهور من حوله إما منزعجين جدا من الصوت العالى او ببساطة يضحكوا منه.

على اية حال الناقد و الباحث جيمس روكى يستطيع ان يصدق على الرأى, لقد فعلت الأخير لحد البكاء. كائنا من من كنت فليباركك الله يا سيدى الفاضل.

لقد تمكنت بمفردك من البقاء على نفس الخط المرعب الذى يسير فيه الفيلم بشخيرك البغيض.

But despite moving a portion of the action outdoors to the flat sun-parched farmland that surrounds the stuffy homestead haunted by the ghosts of grudges past, Wells doesn't completely disguise the stage roots of this cinematic incarnation. He seems too beholden to Letts' dialogue—operatically raw and blistering though it may be—to add his own imprint or allow the camera to take on more of the burden of telling the story.
What compensates for any claustrophobia is a cast that's as bedecked and bedazzled with Oscar trophies and nominations as they come. Those who are especially itching to see Meryl Streep, in her Streep-iest performance ever as spiteful matriarch Violet,

لكن على الرغم من إخراج جزء من العمل إلى الأرض الزراعية المشمسة التى تحيط بالعزبة ذات الهواء الفاسد المطاردة بأحقاد الماضى, إن ويلز لا يخفى الجذور المسرحية لهذا العمل السينمائى المعاد تجسده. هو يبدو كما لو كان متعلق بشكل عملى بحت بالحوار الذى وضعه لييتس على امل ان يضيف ذلك بصمته الشخصية او يسمح لكاميرا التصوير ان تخفف بعض من أعباء إخبار القصة. إن الذى يعوض الخوف من الأماكن الضيقة هو فريق العمل المتعلق بزينة و إبهار الجوائز و الترشيحات للاوسكار لأنهم يعلمون انها قادمة. خاصة هؤلاء الذين يريدون رؤية ميريل ستريب فى دور عمرها الذى هو رئيسة بنفسج حقودة,

go woman-o a woman-o with Julia Roberts, at her least glamorous and most affecting as resentful though reluctantly devoted eldest daughter Barbara, will not be disappointed.
The actresses have co-starred only once before, providing voices for the animated "The Ant Bully." Now, they're in "The Mama Bully." And the sparks-flying interaction between the two is truly the main event. Besides a knockdown, dragged-out dinner-table wrestling match, there's a battle royale during a harrowing catfish luncheon. "Bottom feeders, my favorite," declares Barbara in between snarling enough F-words to scorch even Samuel L. Jackson's ears.

إنطلقى يا إمراة هو دور جوليا روبرتس فى اخر اعمالها الأقل شهرة و الأكثر إثارة للإمتعاض و لو انه على مضض مكرس لأبنتها الكبرى باربرا, لكى لا تخيب امالها. شاركتها بعض الممثلات البطولة مرة واحدة من قبل, فى تقديم الأصوات فى فيلم الرسوم المتحركة "النملة بولى." الأن هم فى "بولى الأم". و الشرارات الناتجة من التفاعل بين الإثنين هو حقا العمل الرئيس. بخلاف صراع مائدة الطعام المسحوبة للخارج, فإن هناك معركة كبرى مروعة حدثت اثناء غداء سمك السلور. Giuseppe Tornatore's "The Best Offer" features the downfall of an uptight main character, played by Geoffrey Rush, led through a symbolic fairy tale forest to his own ruin. There's even a princess locked up in a tower, and the bread crumbs through the forest take the form of little mysterious rusty gears, which when put together create an 18th century automaton that threatens to take on a life of its own. The magic here is ominous and seductive, and Virgil Oldman (Rush) can't seem to stop himself from getting deeper and deeper into the forest.

إن عرض جوزيبي تورناتور "العرض الأفضل" يتميز بتقديم سقوط بطل العمل الرئيس المتزمت, قدم جوفيرى راش الشخصية عبر قصة خيالية رمزية لغابة فيها دماره الشخصى. هناك ايضا اميرة محبوسة داخل برج, و فتات الخبز المتناثرة فى الغابة اتخذت شكل المعدات الصدئة التى عندما نضعها معا تخلق مشهد من القرن الثامن عشر لمعدات تهدد بأنها ستحصل على حياة خاصة بها. السحر هنا شوئمى و مغرى فى نفس الوقت و فيرجيل اولدمان (راش) يبدو انه لا يستطيع إيقاف نفسه من التوغل اعمق و اعمق داخل الغابة.

It's all a bit overheated, and while there is certainly nothing wrong with melodrama, the problem arises when the script (also by Tornatore) keeps insisting on explaining its own symbolism and subtext, to make sure we get how deep the thing is. The script here is a 5-page term paper with too many footnotes, filled with lines like "Human emotions are like art. They can be forged.

إنها مرتفعة الحرارة بعض الشىء و بينما بالتأكيد ليس هناك شىء خطأ فى الميلودراما تظهر المشكلة فى السيناريو (ايضا لتورناتور) عندما يصر على تفسير الرمزية الخاصة به و المعانى الضمنية, لكى نتأكد اننا مدركين لمدى عمق هذا الأمر. إن السيناريو هنا هو خمس صفحات مليئة بالكثير من الحواشى, مليئة باشياء مثل "المشاعر الإنسانية مثل الفن". يمكن تزويرها.

Bringing them to that room is Dante Slate Jr. (Kevin Hart), son of the Don King-like boxing promoter who handled Razor vs. Kid I and II. Junior is promoting a boxing video game featuring both fighters, and offers Razor $1000 to record his voice and movements for the game. Razor agrees only if he can be scheduled at a different time than The Kid. The Kid has other ideas, showing up during Razor's recording session and causing an equipment-destroying fight. The footage goes viral, and suddenly there's a demand to see these two duke it out in the ring.

الذى احضرهم لهذه الغرفة هو دانتى سلايت الصغير (كيفن هارت), ابن كبير مروجى الملاكمة الذى عرض رازور مقابل كيد واحد و إثنان. الأصغر يروج للعبة فيديو عن الملاكمة تمثل البطلين الإثنين, و عرض على رازور 1000$ ليسجل صوته و حركاته من اجل تلك اللعبة. رازور موافق لو تم جدولة الأمر فى وقت اخر بعيد عن كيد؟ كيد لديه افكار اخرى, الظهور خلال اوقات تسجيل رازور و عمل مشاجرة تتحطم فيها الألات. ذلك التصوير اخذ شكل وبائى, و فجأة ظهرت مطالبات ان يأخذ هذان الإثنان معركتهم على الحلبة.

and the importance of letting her characters reveal themselves through little gestures. In fact, while "Breakfast with Curtis" is weakest when Colella has to prove that her characters have changed over the course of the film, the film is otherwise consummately relaxed. "Breakfast with "Curtis" is believably generous where most coming-of-age stories are unbelievable. It doesn't try too hard to impress you with its candor: it's just naturally likable.

بالسماح لشخصياتها بإظهار انفسهم من خلال الإلتفاتات البسيطة اهمية. فى الحقيقة, بينما "الإفطار مع كورتيس" هو أضعف مشهد عندما حاولت كوليلا ان تثبت ان شخصياتها تغيرت على مدار الفيلم, إلا ان الفيلم مريح بشكل كامل. "الإفطار مع كورتيس" سخى على نحو لا يصدق عندما تكون معظم الأفلام التى تتكلم عن سن الرشد غير قابلة للتصديق. لا توجد اى محاولات قاسية للضغط على المشاهد بمدى المصداقية: إنه فقط مقبول بشكل طبيعى.

A big part of the movie's charm is just how thoroughly Jonze has imagined and constructed this future Los Angeles, from its smoggy skies to its glittering skyscrapers to its efficient mass transit system and much more. (There has already been, and there will no doubt be more, think pieces about how Caucasian this future L.A. is. There will likely be few think pieces about how the fashion for high-waisted pants in this future makes life unpleasant for the obese.)

إن جزء كبيرا من سحر الفيلم كان فى كيف تخيل جونز لوس انجلويس فى المستقبل,فى سمائها الضبابية لناطحات السحاب المتلألئة لنظام النقل الجماعى الكبير و أكثر من ذلك بكثير. (و مما لا شك فيه و كان هذا دائما, هو كيف سيكون مستقبل لوس أنجيلوس قوقازيا. و من المرجح ايضا انه ستتجه الموضة للسراويل الواسعة من عند الخصر مما سيجعل الحياة غير بسيطة للبدناء.)
