We’ve seen rise of social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter globally. India is one of the most prominent countries on social networks, despite the fact that only 8.5 percent of the population has access to the Internet.

Facebook has 31 million Indian users making it the third largest country on Facebook after the USA and Indonesia. It has around 13 million Indian users on Twitter.

I am not able to hook this PreAmp up. It is a consignment, and I don't have the experience or knowledge using this equipment. Honestly, I don't even know what a pre-amp is used for verus an amp. Facebook Lets Expectant Parents Add Unborn Children to Friends & Family

Expectant parents can announce the good news to their Facebook friends via a brand new Facebook family member status option.

Facebook’s 750 million users can reveal their soon-to-be bundles of joy by updating the “Friends and Family” section of their profiles to include an “Expected: Child.” Parents can also choose to add a photo, the name of the unborn child and a due date.

Once added, the unborn child is listed alongside family members on the user’s profile, and a notification is posted on the user’s Facebook wall.

The status option seems to have been quietly rolled out to users last Wednesday, according to the British Daily Mail. At release, “a glitch in the system meant practical jokers could enter their friends’ names as expected children,” the paper reports. “This has now been fixed.”

The Mail also suggests the option is meant to appease expectant parents who would otherwise create profiles for their unborn child — and break Facebook’s terms of service.

“We’re always testing new features,” a Facebook spokesperson tells Mashable. “Earlier this year, Facebook started providing the option to add an ‘Expected: Child’ as a way for users to more accurately express their identity.”

What Do Facebook’s Developer Traffic Targets Really Mean for Zynga (and Everyone Else)?　July 29th, 2011

Many social game developers were surprised this month when Zynga published terms of its agreements with Facebook as part of its S-1 filing to go public, because it seemed to show that Facebook was promising traffic for Zynga’s games on web and mobile platforms.

By agreeing to make Facebook Zynga’s exclusive social platform, the document said, Facebook would in turn make sure that Zynga achieved certain web and mobile traffic goals or else the exclusivity would no longer apply.

Most users in virtual world are looking for fun to play with, are not creative people who are willing to create more fun. In other words, the old virtual world lacks of incentive to keep the users.

Last week in Shanda’s Got Talent party, Tan Qundao, CEO of Shanda gave a keynote and disclosed some information about a new game which as he described could be the best game in the world. It is named World Zero, which actually looks like more than a game. It’s a gamified Second Life.

World Zero, Shanda’s Gamified Second Life

You may hear a lot about a company called Second Life and its counterparts in China, HiPiHi, UWorld etc back in 2009 when the concept of 3D Virtual World was super hot. In those virtual worlds, every user is expected to be able to use the virtual tools to build his/her own virtual world containing houses, shops, cars, trees etc. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a hype in the end. There are some technical issues to be resolved but more important, especially in China, people feel lost when they are in the empty virtual world because they are required build almost everything from scratches.
