柔はやわらと読みます。下の漢字との組み合わせを考えると意味は諸流をなした徒手格闘法の総称のことです。
下の質実剛健はしつじつ-ごうけんと読みます。中身が充実して飾り気がなく、心身ともに強くたくましいさま。▽「質」は質朴、「実」は誠実の意で、「質実」は飾り気がなく、まじめなこと。「剛健」は心やからだが強く、たくましいことです。
