古くからある鉄瓶制作工房では、職人が真剣で厳粛な面持ちで一心不乱に作業に集中している。私が入口に立つと、彼らは顔を上げ、あたたかい笑顔を見せた。鉄器を作っているのは南部鉄器の第16代の後継者で、何世代にもわたって変わらない伝統の方法により、鉄瓶の文化と技術を守り続けている。

In that iron kettle factory which has a long history, craftsmen are being just so focused on their work with their serious and strict faces. I stand at the entrance and then they raised their face up showing me their warm faces. Those that are making the ironware are the ones of the sixteenth generation that succeeded to Nambu ironware and they have been preserving their culture and techniques of the iron kettles in their traditional way which hasn’t changed for ages.
