日本剃刀は日本刀と同じ素材で作られているので、刃先を研ぐのが大変難しいです

刃と砥石の相性もあるので、様々な砥石を試す必要があります

日本剃刀のクレームの多くは、お客さんの砥石に問題がある場合がほとんどです

本来であれば、天然の硬い砥石で研ぐのが理想ですが、人工の砥石でも十分に切れ味がでます。

私がおすすめするのは、シャプトンのNo.5000で軽く研いで、No.8000、No.12000、No.30000で仕上げる方法です

Our Japanese razor is made of the same materials as Japanese sword (katana), and therefore it is extremely difficult to get it sharpened.

We recommend you to try different kinds of hones in order to find the one that suits best.

Majority of the claims we receive from our customers actually go back to the issue with the hones they use.

It is ideal to use natural hard hones to sharpen the razor, though artificial hones would usually just do the job.

I recommend using Shapton's No.5000 to lightly sharpen your razor, and then finish up with No.8000, No.12000 or No.30000.
