従業員にチャンスを与えて失敗することについて話をしたが、自分に対しても同じ態度でのぞまなければならない。講習会や会合への出席、このような本を読むこと、立派な上司になるために熱心に取り組むことなどは簡単なことである。職場に戻り、こういった改革をやってみようと考えるとき、このことを思い出して欲しい。失敗してしまうだろう。いつもというわけではなく、長期間に渡るものでもないが、間違いを犯したり、このような考えを仕事を続けていく上で変わらぬようにするのが難しく感じたりすることがある。
それでもいいのだ。高い基準に達しなくても取り組んでいるということなのだ。
