ところがそれは翌日に私たちに返送されてきました。

日本郵便の説明ではエアバックベストにはガスボンベが付属しており、飛行機に載せることができないということです。

私たちはメーカーに問い合わせをしました。

ボンベのガスはCO2で引火性はないが、ただ運送規定上は危険物扱いなので飛行機で輸送することはできない、ということです。

We shipped the item you ordered on May 6th.

However, it was returned to us on the next day.

According to the explanation of Japan Post Office, they cannot carry it on an airplane because the gas cylinder comes with the air bag vest.

So we made inquiry to the manufacturer.

They told us that the gas in the cylinder is CO2 so it is not flammable, but it cannot be carried on an airplane because it is considered as a dangerous item on the shipping regulations.

The alternative way is to remove the gas cylinder and to send only the vest to you, and you can purchase the gas cylinder at your local distributor.
