園児が欠席するときは、保護者は、事由を当幼児園に連絡しなければならない。特に、別表「登園禁止の感染症」にかかったときは、学校保健安全法施行規則により出席停止となり、直ちにその症状を連絡しなければならず、登園再開のためには別に登園届を提出しなければならない。また、別表にない病気においても、園から登園届の提出を求める場合がある。
集団生活をする中で、園内での感染防止のためにも、登園届の提出が無い場合には、再登園は認められない。

6. Absence
In the case of absence, the guardian is responsible for reporting the reason for the child's absenteeism. According to "School Health and Safety Act", when the child is diagnosed with any illness that applies to the "Suspension of Attendance Due to Infectious Disease", the child is prohibited from attending the kindergarten. Additionally, a report of the illness is required immediately, as well as an attendance report when returning to the kindergarten. Certain illnesses may require an attendance report even if they are not outlined in the "Suspension of Attendance due to School Infectious disease".
In consideration of each individual child's health in the community setting, if the necessary attendance report is not submitted by the absent child's guardian, attendance will not be permitted.
