Robots are being used today to do tasks that are too dirty, dangerous, difficult, repetitive or dull for humans. Most them are industrial robots used in factories. Since the late 1950s, robots have been used for the jobs in factories that involve repeating the same action over and over again. People get tired or bored in such situations, but robots do not, and it's nothing for them to do the same thing thousands of times a day.

今日のロボットは、人間にとって汚いこと、危険なこと、困難なこと、反復が必要なこと、面白くないことに使用されています。そのほとんどは産業用ロボットで、工場で使用されています。1950年代後半からロボットは何度も何度も同じ動作を強いられる工場での作業に使われてきました。人間はこのような状況においては疲れてしまうか退屈してしまうのですが、ロボットはそうではなく、一日に何千回と同じことをやっても何ともありません。
