桜色の優しい姿をしているが、やはり有毒。
食用とされていたという話もあるが、中途半端な知識で食べるのは絶対にダメ。
名前の由来はタマゴタケと似ていることから。
色は黄色く、致命的な猛毒を持つ。他にもタマゴテングタケ、タマゴテングタケモドキなど
紛らわしい名前のキノコが多いが、どれも毒キノコ。
派手な色が特徴の、いかにも毒キノコっぽい毒キノコ。
もちろん食べてはいけないが、食べられる味でもないらしい。
ラッパのような外見をした毒キノコ。
