The center of our work is study of Kazuo Ishiguro's style in small prose. The main problem is how style of Kazuo Ishiguro changed the canonical form of the short story. At the heart of this canon are two basic forms of presentation that determinated history of Western literature. Namely Bible canon, focus on content. And the Greek canon, form is the focus of a text. Contemporary Literature tends to the synthesis of these canons. Therefore, the canon forms the content and form of the text, which are due to the original style of the writer. Canon may change due to the innovative style and to continue the tradition of previous author, but change it due to his own style.

我々の作業の中心はカズオ・イシグロ（石黒 一雄）の短い散文の文体の研究である。主要な課題は、カズオ・イシグロの文体が短編の標準形式をいかに変化させるかということである。この基準の中心は西洋文学史を決定づけた２つの基本的表現形式である。すなわち、内容を重視する聖書の基準、またはテキストに中心を置く形式のギリシャの基準である。現代文学はこれらの基準を統合する傾向がある。したがって基準が内容とテキスト形式を形成し、それは作家独特の文体に起因する。革新的な文体と果然の著者の伝統を引き継いでいるために基準が変更される場合もあるが、独特のスタイルのために変更されるのである。
