It is OK to claim 1000 dollars as for tax return. If you claim too inexpensively, it would be suspected. So, approximately 1000 dollars might be pretty good.
As I always pay extra attention to packaging and invoice, many of my customers do not have to pay custom duties. But it mostly depends on luck, though.
