お金が悪いわけではないけれど、お金という存在が欲を満たす代替品となる為だ。何が欲しいかわからないけど、何でも交換できるお金を持っていれば何でもできると思ってしまう。お金は一つの力の象徴だから

キリストに従うなら、高価なバッグやアクセサリーなどを買う気にも、身につける気にもならないだろう。そのお金で、何人の飢えている人に食べ物を与えられるだろうか。
　私達が贅沢をする時、そのお金で生きられた人々が死んでいくことを考えれば贅沢をする気にはならないだろう。欲しい物と必要な物は違います

Money is not a bad thing, but existence of money satisfies desire as replacement. We don't know what we want, but having money which can be exchanged with anything, makes us think we can do anything. Money is one of symbols of power.

If we follow Christ, we would never feel like buying expensive bags, accessories or decorating ourselves with them. How many starving people can we feed with that money?
When we spend money on luxury, if we think about people who die while they could have lived with that money, we will never think about spending money on luxury. What we want and what we need are not same.
